Program Description

The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Activation Series from DeEtta Jones & Associates is the perfect suite of resources to get your entire organization up to speed on the basics: cultural competence, addressing bias, and taking care of ourselves in the process. The three included courses take complicated topics and make them accessible to colleagues at any level and with any amount of background.

  • Reducing the Negative Impact of Bias in the Workplace

    July 11 to August 12, 2022

    Bias impacts us all. More importantly, bias is the invisible hand that limits our ability to experience breakthrough results and reach our goals. In this course, you will learn about different kinds of bias, why bias exists, and explore examples of subtle and not-so-subtle ways that bias can curtail Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in workplace settings.

    Essentials of Cultural Competence

    August 22 to September 23, 2022

    Cultural competence is more than an attitude; it is a skill set that requires investment and practice. This course provides essential learning at every step of the developmental process—awareness, knowledge, skills, and action—to help you continue to enhance your cultural competence.

    Live sessions: September 6 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm central and September 20 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm central.

    Well-Being and Morale

    October 3 to 28, 2022

    This course is for all of us affected by the stress associated with living in ambiguity and who want to find and use strategies for positively impacting morale among your colleagues and team. This 4-week virtual program provides you much-needed reminders and practical ideas for taking care of yourself and being a positive influence on others during these stressful times.
