Meet The Team

Edward Scott, Jr.

As a Consultant, Edward brings nearly 10 years of leadership training, organizational development, mental health, and human services experience. Edward’s background includes extensive work in the nonprofit and K-16 education sectors. He is particularly skilled in the areas of team culture improvement, solution-focused coaching, strategic realignment, and strengthening support services systems.

Edward was the Trauma-Sensitive Schools Clinician and a school social worker for a large urban school district where he was principally responsible for coaching teachers and school administrators around positive student engagement and social-emotional supports. In his role, he also provided direct behavioral health services and system-wide training on trauma-informed care. He currently owns a small counseling practice in Virginia. 

Edward has accolades ranging from the University of Pennsylvania’s Rosa Wessel Award for Scholarship, Leadership, and Clinical Innovation to the City of Liberty’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Outstanding Public Service Award.  He earned his baccalaureate from William Jewell College, a master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice, and a master's degree in organizational development and leadership from the Rockhurst University Helzberg School of Management. Currently, Edward is finishing a Ph.D. in applied developmental science at the University of Virginia where he studies sociopolitical development and wellbeing among social justice leaders.
