Edward D. Scott, Jr., DJA Consultant, brings nearly 10 years of leadership training, organizational development, mental health, and human services experience. Edward’s background includes extensive work in the nonprofit and K-16 education sectors. He is particularly skilled in the areas of team culture improvement, solution-focused coaching, strategic realignment, and strengthening student support services systems.
Edward owns a small counseling practice in Charlottesville, VA. Prior to doctoral study, he was the Trauma-Sensitive Schools Clinician and a school social worker for a large urban school district where he was principally responsible for coaching teachers and school administrators around positive student engagement and social-emotional supports.
Edward is a recognized servant-leader with accolades ranging from the University of Pennsylvania’s Rosa Wessel Award for Scholarship, Leadership, and Clinical Innovation to the City of Liberty’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Outstanding Public Service Award. He also completed a prestigious fellowship with Council on Social Work Education’s Minority Fellowship Program (MFP-Y).
