Thank you so much for hosting this course. It has been so beneficial to work alongside other academic library peers to navigate and improve our environments. It was so refreshing to connect with other managers who are experiencing the same things, it has helped me feel more seen and connected. I feel like the tools and practices provided are digestible and applicable to my process and I look forward to seeing all we can accomplish by implementing them.

I think this course does a great job of articulating tactics, methods and logic behind empathy and listening in leadership. It comes more easily to some, but the methods like ladder of inference and workflows for engaging another in an empathic engagement and allow participants to reflect on greater than what obvious motivations for behaviors. The practice of being open and opening yourself up to colleagues, paves the way for better communication and planning projects together.

Who is this course for?
LMSI 2 is designed for supervisors, managers, directors, and organizational leaders who want to influence culture and strategy beyond their immediate team. It’s especially valuable for those responsible for guiding organizational change, embedding values, or aligning strategy across departments.
How is this different from the LMSI 1?
LMSI 1 focuses on the individual as a manager—building core management skills like feedback, motivation, and facilitative leadership. LMSI 2 builds on that foundation by shifting to the organization as a whole—focusing on culture, systems, multi-directional influence, and organizational learning. Many participants take both courses for a complete development journey.
How long is the course and what is the format?
The course runs for 3 weeks and is fully virtual. It combines:
-
Asynchronous learning: pre-recorded videos, readings, and practical exercises.
-
Live sessions: interactive webinars with expert DJA facilitators and your cohort.
What if I can't attend a live session?
All live sessions are recorded, and you’ll have access to the recordings afterward. While live participation is encouraged for deeper engagement, we know schedules can be unpredictable.
What outcomes can I expect?
By the end of LMSI 2, you will be able to:
-
Align organizational values and strategy with daily practices.
-
Build systems that encourage shared leadership and accountability.
-
Increase resilience and adaptability in the face of change.
-
Strengthen collaboration across departments and teams.
What do I get access to after the course?
You’ll have access to all recordings, tools, and resources for 6 months after the program ends. Many participants revisit the templates and videos as they apply the concepts in real time with their teams.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Participants who complete the program receive a virtual certificate of completion, which can be shared on résumés and LinkedIn profiles.
How much does it cost?
The virtual LMSI 2 is $900 per participant. This fee includes access to the online platform, all live sessions, downloadable tools, and six months of access to recordings and resources.
Do you offer group enrollment or group discounts?
Yes. Many organizations register multiple participants to create shared language and alignment across their leadership teams. Group discounts and invoicing options are available—contact deetta@deettajones.com for details.
What is your cancelation and refund policy?
Refunds and cancellations must be submitted in writing to deetta@deettajones.com at least 30 days before the start date of the course.
